India Launches Air Strike on Pakistan

After the cowardly suicide bombing terrorist attack on CRPF soldiers in Pulwama where over 40 CRPF Jawans lost their lives, this was a much-needed step. Within 100 hours of the attack on the CRPF Jawans, the Indian Army with the help of the Indian Para-Military Forces was able to strike down the head of the terrorist group responsible for the attacks. The terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammad was responsible for the cowardly attack on the CRPF Jawans and mastermind of this terrorist group was Abdul Rasheed Ghazi who was shot dead in the encounter with the terrorists.
Today, early in the morning 12 Fighter Jets of the Indian Air Force took off from various different Air bases of Indian Air Force. The motive was to destroy the terrorist camps functioning in Pakistan occupied Kashmir. Indian Air Force crossed the LOC and dropped around 1000 Kg of bombs on 12 to 13 terrorist camps that were operating in Pakistan's territory. Reports say that more than 300 terrorists have been killed in this major strike. 

After the Kargil, this is the first time that the IAF has been used for the striking purpose. IAF is highly capable and has been involved in various rescue and disaster management operations at times of floods and other issues. IAF has been drilling and training heavily for any situation that may arise in the wake of the recent Pulwama attacks. 12 Mirage 2000, the fighters that helped India return victorious at the time of Kargil were the fighters sent for the air strike on Pakistan.
Now that the Indian Air Force has successfully struck it is going to be interesting to see the response of Pakistan. Post this air strike in pok the situation in Pakistan is highly critical and an emergency meeting was called by the Defense Minister. In India, the Honorable Defense Minister Nirmala Sita Raman, Honorable Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Honorable Prime Minister along with others are supposed to have a meeting with the heads of the various Indian Armed Forces and discuss the further strategies. Keep yourself updated by following this blog and share your views.
