The 2019 elections are ahead and with it the race of forming a government at the center. Narendra Modi is being seen attending rallies and addressing people while Amit Shah has everything scheduled and is busy in strategising upon the upcoming elections. Akhilesh Yadav and Yogi Aditya Nath have already had issues in the past and just recently the Yogi Government in UP stopped the entry of the SP supremo in the city of Prayagraj formerly known as Allahabad probably because this is what happened with CM Yogi when Former CM Akhilesh Yadav was the then Chief Minister. Modi Government might not have been up to the mark and might not have performed in reality but on papers, on pictures, on WhatsApp and all other platforms even in speeches they have probably worked more than what was expected or at least that is what is being portrayed. Uttar Pradesh has always been the most decisive state in making the government at the center with 80 Loksabha seats. The "Mahagathbandhan" aims at removing the reign of BJP as well as Congress as said formerly by Mayawati the BSP Supremo that both the parties have similar agenda and we are not going to stand with any. The "Mahagathbandhan" has brought Mayawati and Akhilesh together and the parties SP, BSP, and RLD are all set to fight on 22 seats of western UP. They have overall set their contestants for 78 of 80 seats in UP.
The BJP, on the other hand, is the favorites in the election 2019 and Congress also has high hopes. The fact that "Mahagathbandhan" has not set contestants for 2 seats is proof of what is called power and its fear. The seats of Raibareily and Amethi have been left vacant because they are the seats from which Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi contest elections respectively. With this, two things are quite evident, one is that these parties altogether respect the seniority and popularity that Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi have in their respective areas. The second thing is that, though these parties are now denying any kind of alliance with Congress any further possibilities, it shouldn't come out as a surprise post-election when they eventually try to form an alliance to root out the people in power.
While it is going to be interesting to see the results, the image of an elephant riding a cycle and going towards a hand-pump is hilariously funny both literally and figuratively.
